plug.dj Now Available in Eight Languages, Including Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese
May 1, 2012 – Now plug.dj users can host truly international parties.Today plug.dj announced the release of the localized versions of its popular social media discovery app, translated into eight languages. With this new localized user interface, as well as the real-time chat translation to over 50 languages, plug.dj is solidifying its efforts to bring the world together around a common love for music and Internet videos.
“The core idea of plug.dj is eliminate barriers using music. And adding more languages available just shows how loyal they are to their philosophy,” said Raul Duchen, a native Spanish speaker and the owner of the Spanish plug.dj blog.
The current languages available for the site are Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, and English. Due to the popularity of plug.dj around the world, many of its early adopters offered to help translate the website content — a true testament to the plug.dj platform and the over 40,000 passionate users it has attracted in the two months since launch.
“The different languages were kind of a gap between the users, and with the new update the plug team build bridges for them,” said Nicolai Kobzan, one of the first plug.dj users and a native Norwegian.
plug.dj founder Steven Sacks agrees. “The internet is inherently international. When you break down language barriers, you empower people to be expressive in their own language and share with people who speak a different language. The people in our international community form friendships, gain insights and are exposed to videos, music and art they never knew existed,” said Sacks.
Along with the new language features, plug.dj also added user profiles, which allows users to set their status to Away, Working and Available. plug.dj will be expanding the new user profiles to include links to many social networks, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, SoundCloud and more.
The translations as well as profile features were created in response to community recommendations and to allow users to have a more tailored experience.

Killa Kela – Built Like An Amplifier – New Official Video
Killa Kela took a little time out of the studio to see day light (briefly) to make the video for ‘Built Like an Amplifier’.
His sound is bigger and louder than ever before and helping him steer at the helm was producer James Rushent of ‘Does it Offend You, Yeah?’ and Co Producer of the latest Prodigy album. Kela has also been conspiring in the studio with Sway, Alan Braxe, The Cool Kids and Hadouken! to name a few.
This song is big, bold, banging, not to be missed and impossible to ignore.
Shot by Steve Glashier, the video contains, crazy Japanese girls, one over excited Japanese Business Man and Kela wrestling over a karaoke mic. This visual and aural treat is available for your eager eyes below. Who wins the battle? You’ll have to watch it to the end to find out..
