VIKING from Richmond, Virginia did it again with his new remix of Kid Cudi’s track ‘Dat New New.’ Definitly worth a listen… or ten! The track has been making the blog-rounds, but in case you haven’t already heard it do yourself a favor and jump on it.
VIKING took Kid Cudi’s song and transformed it into the next ‘day n night party theme-song of 2k9.’ The original track by Kid Cudi was overlooked for the most part because it was ehm… pretty boring. But this track, on the other hand, is anything but. Check out VIKING’s other tracks on his Myspace.

However, we’re also deep with SlabUp crew from Cleveland. For about a year ShyF.A.M.E. was Chip tha Ripper’s main photographer. Mid West Heff is one of Kid Cudi’s best friends from highschool to this day. We’re bridging the gap between hood music and hipster music, on our own terms like no one before us.We have that Club-Hop vibe akin to Spank Rock or OH SNAP! With some Trouble Andrew on top. I’d love to get some constructive criticism from all the music experts out there. Our next mixtape is entitled The Partybus, themed towards combining smart-yet-vulgar party raps with only Bmore-bombs and the heaviest Fidget-House. We will also be shooting a movie to coinside with the Partybus that will chronicle how Columbus merges all types of nightlife: hood, hipster, thrash, anything goes.

So, I had my first gig in NYC this past weekend at the INC Lounge at Time Hotel. It was great until 3 hours in when I started to build up my energy and play some electro mashup stuff. I was so sick of playing Hip-Hop that I really needed to play some electro. Well, 30 mins into that the bar promoter came up to me and told me to go back to Hip-Hop. I wasn’t happy.
Kinda my fault becuase I went into it too quick when I should’ve played more housey stuff first. Still, had to play another three hours of Hip-Hop. Great. I can’t count how many Lady Gaga and Britany Spears requests I got. All I wanted to do was play something harder… but I wanted to get paid too. Dilema.
So here’s my pissed off mix for anyone who’s ass fed up with Top 40’s shit as I am.
