“Electro Ain’t Electro No More” is the Atomic Hooligan vocal that seems to sum up the Electro Pusher Mix Series in a phrase…but to experience the creative genius behind this project is the only way to let the dance-friendly, remixed and re-fixed sounds of Primate King enter your brain.

You’ll find local talent from Smokeland California (Divasonic), SoundCloud friends (RuNRiOT & Elektropusher), BIG names (Dizzee Rascal, The Ting Tings, Princess Superstar, Kanye West (please listen before criticizing), LMFAO, Yeah Yeah, Yeahs, Haddaway, Robin S.), and yes the late great Michael Jackson in the 2nd installment of the Electro Pusher Mix Series.

Electro, Dubstep, Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock and a whole barrage of other genres are seamlessly spliced into fifty eight and one half minutes that you will want to experience again and again at an uplifting 129 BPM.  (workout music anyone?)

Support for the creative process (beer money) can be shown by donating at http://prim8king.bandcamp.com/ and if you like I’ll even burn and autograph a CD for ya–just send your mailing address to primateking@gmail.com with the subject line: Autograph.

    Track listing is as follows:

01 – The Ting Tings – Great DJ (Galaxy Of The Dead Remix)
02 – Emiliana Torrini – Jungle Drum (Tolo Remix)
03 – Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden – Bonkers (Club Remix)

    estelle

    Morning everyone,

Hope everyone is well, and had a great holiday. Sending out three tracks here spanning the genres of electro and dubstep. Enjoy.

What will it be Without us? (Epic Dubstep Re-Work) – DJ Beebs – This originally was a song I made back in 2004 and is on my CD SSV. I love the synth, and thought I should take it into the present day. The beginning starts off airy and ambient and works its way into a fantastic buildup at the 2 minute mark. Wait for the bass to kick in, and then it all comes together with some nice shuffly hats and the synth gets brought back in. Loved working with this track again.

Proper Lofi (DJ Beebs Dubstep Remix) – Chris Clark - Chris Clark is an experimental hip-hop producer that I found many years ago. Proper Lofi is my second favorite track on his album Clarence Park that came out in 2001. It’s unlike anything I’ve heard before. Turned it into a dubstep remix, and I feel like it works well.

American Boy (DJ Beebs Electro Remix) – Estelle ft. Kanye West
    - Well, you can tell by the title what you’re getting with this one. A DJ Beebs remix of American Boy. Dark, heavy bass electro. Four-to-the-floor bass drum driven track. Pump it up and enjoy.

Support a young DJ/Producer with some love. Blog it up!

    Get the mix:

    Zshare

Or email me at DJBeebs@Gmail.com for original

Mix includes at least three songs you have never heard before.

But wait, there’s a story too.

So, I had my first gig in NYC this past weekend at the INC Lounge at Time Hotel. It was great until 3 hours in when I started to build up my energy and play some electro mashup stuff. I was so sick of playing Hip-Hop that I really needed to play some electro. Well, 30 mins into that the bar promoter came up to me and told me to go back to Hip-Hop. I wasn’t happy.

Kinda my fault becuase I went into it too quick when I should’ve played more housey stuff first. Still, had to play another three hours of Hip-Hop. Great. I can’t count how many Lady Gaga and Britany Spears requests I got. All I wanted to do was play something harder… but I wanted to get paid too. Dilema.

So here’s my pissed off mix for anyone who’s ass fed up with Top 40’s shit as I am.

    3 song’s I know you haven’t heard:

Chrome Depot – SXNDRGS (2:05 and again at 9:15)

The Moaners (DJ Beebs Sandstorm Edit) – Rusko (1st song)

Cold Dust Girl (DJ Beebs Give me a Breakdown! Edit) – Hey Champ (Last song)

    Here’s the full tracklisting:

The Moaners (DJ Beebs Sandstorm Edit) – Rusko

Eastern Jam – Chase and Status

    I Kissed a Girl – Katy Perry

    Chrome Depot – SXNDRGS

Love Lockdown (Chew Fu Big Room Fix) – Kanye West

A Millie (Paul Anthony and ZZX Remix) – Lil’ Wayne

Day n’ Night (Crookers Remix) – Kid Cudi

    Bounce (A-Trak Remix) – MSTRKRFT

Party Like Us – AC Slater

    Mars – Fake Blood

    (Again) Chrome Depot – SXNDRGS

NY Excuse (Justice Remix) – Soulwax

In Da Club (Disco Villains Remix) – 50 Cent

We Are Your Friends – Justice

Waters of Nazareth (Erol Alkan Re-edit) – Justice

Cold Dust Girl (DJ Beebs Give me a Breakdown! Edit) – Hey Champ

I was checking out a whole bunch of new music, and I decided that LeCastlevania’s “Zero Machine” is classic stupid. I love it, and everyone I know who hears it does too. The same day I found two more tracks from Kanye West’s upcoming record ‘808’s and Heartbreak’ I think it’s called. No one seemed to have much to say on the positive side of things. Seems like people miss the raps. I am enjoying what I’ve heard so far, though it is very different. So here it is, message board debut, I flipped ‘Coldest Winter’. I don’t know man, I got busy, I hope you’re hearing what I am saying….Kanye West “Coldest Winter” (yahohyah remix)
