DJ Shades- Bristol Love Volume 2
In this second installment of Bristol Love. DJ Shades Takes Bristol Love Volume 2 to a whole new Level. He has went back to his 2-3 track per mix roots in order to make the tracks seem as if they were recorded that way. And he has more then suceeded. After his widely popular “Back to the Beat” mixtape in 2009, DJ Shades set out to do a mashup album of nothing but slow songs. Originally put together for the love of his life, he posted the tracks online to a very suprising and warm reception from fans of all ages and genders. A far cry from “Back to the Beat”, Evolution of the mix” and his self titled album in previous years, Shades maintained the attitide that he wanted to make people “feel” the music, not just “hear” it. Bristol Love achieved that, but Shades was not happy with the quality of the tracks. The mass appeal from listeners and once again with motivation and inspiration from the love of his life, He set out to do a volume 2 with much more emphasis on quality and feeling. Once again, this is not a album to shake your booty to, nor is it anywhere close to a “Girltalk” or “DJ Earworm” multisource mashup album like “Back to the Beat” was. It is a album of anthems, a album of feeling, and a album you can just press play and have your heart strings tugged at. You will get emotional, You may even cry, but you WILL feel this album not just hear it. I would recommend this album to anyone who loves music as a whole. To anyone that has ever been in love, is currently in love, or has lost a loved one. This album just goes to show you, its not how many songs you can piece together but HOW you piece them together. In DJ Shades’ case, He has done this with absolute perfection.
