I’m a relative new DJ in Australia, but I’ve got a few year history in clubs as a promoter/artwork designer/booking agent, which somehow came from me starting as a hip-hop producer.
Times change, eh?
Anyway, I play a lot of cross-genre sets, mainly uptemp music – the energy of dance music, but enough lyrics to not make it trance-like. Sorta that sweet spot, I call this music, Disco Disco.
